healthy or bust

So this week has been absolutely challenging.  I found out I didn't get the job I was so excited about and started a new diet.  Yes I said the evil D word.  I am a bigger girl.  I always have been.  Growing up I was always bigger than the other girls my age, and it always caused me to be self conscience.  Not enough to loose weight just enough to torture me to present day.

A couple of years ago I found out that I had PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome.  I have lots of the lovely symptoms that come along with the little bugger such as: obesity, irregular cycles, and yes even hirsutism.  All these things combined have really wrecked how I see myself.  So I started thinking and finally decided I would try a low carb diet.  I have always heard that this works really well with PCOS sufferers because it helps regulate insulin levels.  So I am giving it a try.

I am not new to the diet game.  I have tried pretty much every diet out there.  I have lost weight and gained weight.  I think that I have never really fully committed to something and stuck it out for long enough to truly see the results I wanted.  Thankfully I have the best boyfriend ever that is being so supportive and helping me really give it my all this time.   So I guess I will share my journey here as well.  I have a lot to loose, somewhere around 80lbs, to get to a good weight for my height.  So come on this journey with me and maybe we can help each other as well.

Comment below lovelies if you have ever tried a diet that worked long term for you.
